Has recent rally dried up or was it again the 25 basis point in rates that BOC has increased? The BOC POLICY in the rates increases is to address inflationary raise. So far in 2011 India, China, south korea, Indonesia and thailand have all increase rates. This year globally, raising inflation (especially in Asia) will continue to put pressure on central banks to raise interest rates to address inflation raise. Prices of food, commodities and basic/ precious metals will continue to raise.
Most equities markets has since corrected, and regionally as high as (-4%). it may be a short-term profit taking activity, we will see. As to every six months the trend is one correction or would it be safe to say profit-taking. Lots of re-allocations is now taking place, rebalancing and a trend whereby out flow from fixed income will continue after the 2008/2009 global recession.
Is it gradual the revesal or will it quickly rebound and continue with it's up trend?
Hey people till then!
